Petroferm Asphalt Extractants and Cleaners are an ideal biodegradable alternative to replace chlorinated solvents such as trichloroethylene (TCE)  and 1,1,1 trichloroethane traditionally used to perform quality control tests with bituminous hot-mix asphalt to determine asphalt content values. The asphalt extractants have been designed to be used with vacuum and centrifuge equipment for test procedures approved by State DOT agencies. These products can also be used to dissolve and remove asphalt from lab equipment, tools, and heavy equipment.

Asphalt extractant products are sold under the BIOACT^® and LENIUM^® registered tradenames.
